JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: NCCP Project Support Officer POST Reference: PSO01
Commitment 10 hours per week spread over 3 days (hours may increase over time)
Pay rate From £9 – £12 p/h excl contributions
LOCATION: 37 Lawrence Way
REPORTS TO: NCCP Senior Project manager
APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 30th 2019
Key responsibilities
• To support The North Cambridge Community Partnership (NCCP) to achieve its objectives
• To support the management of facilities under the NCCP portfolio
• General administration duties to support NCCP Senior Project manager
• To help promote the organisation and events
As a small voluntary organisation we require someone with the flexibility, skills and proactive attitude to take on a number of responsibilities as required. These may include:
> Helping with publicity using social media and other communications channels
> Administrative duties such as filing, data entry
> Gather and prepare materials for the NCCP Newsletter
> Undertake project work as directed by NCCP
> Carry out checks and inductions related to properties
> Liaise with other community groups and arrange and attend meetings as required
> Prepare funding applications
Desirable qualifications & experience
We are looking for someone who is multi-skilled, proactive and passionate about community. These are some of the skills and qualifications we would find useful:
• A background in community work
• An understanding of funding applications
• Creative design skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Knowledge of local government organisations
• Volunteering experience
Requirements
Hours: 10 hrs
Usual hours – 3 days a week as (flexible to carry out duties of the post including evenings and occasional weekends)
DBS Check: Enhanced DBS check required as you may be working with young or vulnerable people. This will be arranged and paid for by the NCCP.
Having the ability to travel: As this role requires local travel, we prefer candidates to have their own mode of transport
